The European Commission (EC) adopted the European Union Methane Strategy in October 2020 to reduce methane emissions. This White Paper released by the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) and the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) provides the views of Europe’s energy regulators on rules to prevent methane leakage in the energy sector.
