Global Methane Hub
The Global Methane Hub, a global alliance of leading philanthropies and organizations, is committed to reducing methane emissions by more than 35 percent by 2030. Launched in 2021 with nearly $330 million in philanthropic commitments, they are delivering resources to methane reduction projects in the energy, agricultural, and waste sectors which account for 96 percent of human-caused methane emissions. The mission of the Global Methane Hub is to accelerate action by governments, civil society, researchers, investors, and the private sector to develop and implement strategies that will catalyze systemic rapid reductions in methane emissions in the energy, agriculture, and waste sectors.
