Jordan joined the Global Methane Initiative (GMI) in 2011.
Jordan supports a number of strategies to mitigate methane emissions and achieve national and international climate commitments. Nationally, these measures focus particularly on the waste sector, where Jordan has implemented projects and policies to improve methane capture and utilization and landfill sites. Jordan also participates in international collaboration efforts to leverage global resources and achieve climate solutions.
