This article, published in 2020 in the journal, Environmental Science & Technology, reviewed airborne measurements collected in 2018 of CH4 emissions from offshore oil and gas platforms in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. The study authors combined facility-level samples, production data, and inventory estimates to develop an aerial measurement-based inventory of CH4 emissions for the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
