The Liulong Coal Mine was selected for a pre-feasibility study for coal mine methane (CMM) drainage and utilization because of the difficult gas conditions at the mine and expected increases in gas production in coming years as the mine expands. This document summarizes alternative methane drainage options, forecasts future gas production, and outlines recommended steps in pursuing a CMM recovery and use project.
