Introduction

The Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) is an energy policy think tank with significant expertise in research, policy analysis, and advocacy within the energy and extractives sectors. Over the past two years, the organization has concentrated on addressing methane emissions as part of energy transition strategies for oil and gas-producing nations. ACEP has dedicated its work to research, capacity building of key stakeholders and actively engaging in regional and global dialogues to raise awareness of methane management in Africa. To achieve its goals, ACEP has formed partnerships with organizations such as the Global Methane Hub, Carbon Limits, and the Stakeholder Democracy Network. The Organization is also a member of the CSO mirror group of the International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO).
