Turner County Dairy is a 2000 cow dairy in Southeastern South Dakota. The company is looking to incorporate an anaerobic digester to control odor, provide bedding, and reduce their nutrient application costs. Turner County Dairy has been granted a USDA 9006 renewable energy grant and are looking to find a profitable way to "use" the methane. They have researched electrical generation, refining the product to pipeline quality, locating an ethanol plant on site, and changing methane to methanol. |
