SPS Rural Development Center is a community developer organization currently operating in Guba agricultural area of Azerbaijan. The organization is the first regional-based organization who has initiated a long term ecological project to preserve the area’s woodlands, through the implementation of cost effective farm waste management practices and the popularization of biogas technology as an alternative to firewood. SPS RDC has successfully implemented the first stage of “Save Local Forests” biogas project (see organization's Web site)
The organization's primary aim is to assist village communities in achieving sustainable economic growth by implementing value-added and diversified agriculture and forestry, improved land management practices, transition to renewable energy usage and providing support for farmers and other village community members.
SPS RDC is registered with the government of Azerbaijan Republic in May 2004 under the tax ID# 2000014021 |
