GMI Steering Committee Meeting

The Global Methane Initiative’s (GMI) Steering Committee met on Wednesday, 2 December and Thursday, 3 December 2020. This year, the annual meeting took place virtually using the Microsoft Teams platform.
The purpose of the Steering Committee meeting was to review feedback provided by the Executive Task Force and make decisions regarding key questions about the future of GMI. Discussion topics included:
- Prioritizing the objectives of GMI
- Considering options to extend the GMI charter
- Leveraging strategic partnerships
- Supporting the UN International Year (or Decade) of Methane Management
- Leveraging the Global Methane Challenge
- Assessing GMI’s governance structure
