Event Details: GMI hosted a technical training workshop on methane capture and utilization for municipal wastewater treatment facilities at the Hotel Galería Plaza de la Ciudad de México on 29 May 2019. The workshop presented technologies and techniques for methane capture and use that can be implemented at facilities throughout Mexico. Several case studies of wastewater facilities in Mexico were presented along with calculations of methane capture and emissions reduction estimates. Participants included plant managers and operators, Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), Banobras, the Naucalpan Municipality, and Mexico City Government. This event was only offered in Spanish.
