Event Details: The Africa Carbon Forum is a knowledge exchanging platform for all carbon market stakeholders. The event will feature plenary sessions as well as more detailed technical and policy training workshops. Training sessions will focus on trends and barriers to developing projects within the region as well as strategies for promoting projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), with an emphasis on the new programmatic CDM approach. In addition to technical sessions, the forum will also feature recent provide an opportunity to showcase project opportunities, to potential investors and project developers.

The Global Methane Initiative will hold a side event on 6 July from 9:45 to 10:45. The side event will feature speakers from Ethiopia and Nigeria who will discuss Advancing Landfill Methane Projects and Public Health Benefits through the Advancement of Improved Solid Waste Practices.
