The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers organized this international exchange of research discoveries, technology advancement, and networking among animal scientists, engineers, veterinarians, and other professionals interested in livestock. The technical program addressed current and emerging issues facing the farm animal production industry with particular emphasis on assessment and improvement of animal environment and production systems and/or technologies that aim to enhance animal health/well-being and production efficiency while minimizing the environmental impact of production operations. The event was held in conjunction with CIGR’s International Conference of Agricultural Engineering, and the 37th Brazilian Congress of Agricultural Engineering.
