The GMI Biogas Subcommittee hosted a virtual meeting on
Wednesday, 17 March 2021. The Biogas Subcommittee Co-Chairs, Jorge
Hilbert, Argentina; Matthew Hamilton, Canada; and Nick Elger, United
States, discussed global opportunities for the biogas sector to help countries
meet the Paris Climate Agreement, reviewed biogas resources, and described the upcoming
effort to collect feedback from Partner country delegates about the future
priorities of the Biogas Subcommittee to aid development of the Subcommittee
Action Plan. Monica Shimamura, Director of the GMI Secretariat, also provided
an overview of recent GMI activities and reviewed GMI accomplishments.
