Community Foundation Western Province (COFWE) operates in Vihiga County, Kenya. Its programs include community-based climate change adaption and agri-business and food security development. The organization is looking to create a county that becomes more sustainable by preserving the environment and adapting to climate change as well as a county that is able to provide enough food for the community.
COFWE is helping to create a more sustainable utilization and conservation of the soil and land resources, water resources, and the air. The organization also assists with food processing
and meat processing to help ensure food is available to the people of the county. |
