BCS staff are experienced in planning, evaluating, and documenting coal mine methane (CMM), ventilation air methane (VAM), and landfill gas-to-energy (LFGTE) project opportunities; performing CMM/VAM/LFGTE project cash flow analyses; conducting technical and economic assessments of new and emerging technologies for CMM/VAM utilization; ascertaining potential project revenues deriving from the sale of carbon emission reductions; assessing safety issues relating to the deployment of new technologies or new applications of existing technologies for CMM/VAM capture and use at active underground coal mines; evaluating the potential viability of markets for CMM/VAM (local and global markets) and LFGTE (local markets) project outputs (e.g., electricity, thermal energy); evaluating the potential magnitude of CMM/VAM technology sales; and providing information transfer and outreach/communication support. |
