SNV Netherlands Development Organisation is an international development organization established in the Netherlands in 1965. The organization provides development services through local presence to local organizations in 36 developing countries. In the renewable energy sector, the organization is supporting the preparation and implementation of national biogas programs in 20 countries. By the end of 2011, more than 430,000 domestic biogas plants fed by animal manure have been installed in these countries.
